DENTAL NURSE, READING
We have a unique opportunity for a pro-active and motivated Dental Nurse to join this multi-disciplinary practice.
Full-time opportunity Monday – Friday (1 late shift required and 2 Saturday mornings a month)
This role will suit a motivated and enthusiastic individual who is quick and willing to learn. The suitable nurse should be punctual, demonstrate a professional attitude, and have a friendly approach to patients and the team. The role is comprised of assisting the dentist with patient care, the decontamination of instruments and some reception duties. Training will be provided in house and via external training provider.

•Situated locally to the practice
•Maintain professional indemnity and registration with the GDC
•Comply with the ‘Code of Ethics’ of the British Association of Dental Nurses
•Undertake CPD in line with the GDC guidelines
•Knowledge of CQC and compliance
•Excellent clinical and interpersonal skills
•Friendly and welcoming manner
•Strong teamwork ability with an enthusiastic attitude
•Proficient user of the requisite dental software and Microsoft package
•Vaccinated against Hepatitis B
•Understand the vision and brand message for the practice and deliver outstanding customer service experiences
•Providing the highest standard of clinical support to our dentists and specialists
•Perform top quality dental nursing in all procedures in a safe and effective manner
•Maintain the clinical environment and equipment.
•Prepare equipment, materials, lab work and patients with efficiency and empathy
•Excellent understanding of infection control prevention and procedures
•Assist with maintenance of the surgery
•Assist with stock orders/ control
•Ad hoc receptionist and clerical duties
•Provide outstanding customer service at all times
•Follow all practice systems and procedures
•Following all regulations in the UK such as CQC, GDC standards, GDPR, HTM 01-05, confidentially and consent processes
•Any other ad hoc responsibilities as reasonably requested
